Crane Aerospace and Electronics’ Cabin Solutions Selected by AVIC Aerospace HUBEI JIATAI–JIATAI Equipment Co Ltd. for Expansion into Global Market
Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co. (NYSE:CR), has been selected by AVIC HUBEI JIATAI–JIATAI Equipment Co Ltd. (Jiatai) to provide HG Hydrolok® hydraulic seat recline devices for Airbus A320 Main Cabin seat actuation supplies to support both the domestic China and international markets.
The HG Hydrolok is Crane’s premier option for main cabin seating, with a best-in-class load of 4,000 pounds force. It boasts a 50% weight savings over traditional hydraulic locks and 20% over gas locks. It is configurable for all typical recline applications and can also be used for seat recline and leg rest functions. The Hydrolok offers infinite adjustment options, requires almost no maintenance and can last longer than 250,000 cycles for the lowest total cost of ownership to operators.
Jiatai is currently the only China-based aircraft seat supplier with FAA certification. Jiatai makes both main cabin mechanical seats and premium class electrical seats for aircraft, including the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. With nearly 14 million square feet of production campus, Jiatai is one of the largest aircraft seat manufacturing facilities in China.
